What is a TOKEN?

A TOKEN is an electronic device for generating One Time Passwords. It is very practical, and you can carry it with you all the time.
The password which is generated with the TOKEN is only used once, for one payment or one log in, meaning that its validity at the moment of generating is very short lasted.
In order to generate a One Time Password with the TOKEN, you must first place your Visa Electron Identification Card in the TOKEN, and then enter your PIN, which you use to withdraw cash from ATMs and during payments at points of sale.
The TOKEN represents a non – personalized device, which makes it available for use to more than one user. Also if you lose it, there is no abuse danger.
